Planix Connect
A desktop agent that controls software already installed on your own workstation — currently AutoCAD via COM automation — from a natural-language prompt. It drafts, revises, and saves directly in your own CAD file, similar to an AI coding agent but for CAD software. No waitlist.
How It Works
AI generates architecture and preliminary structural intent from your brief
Country-aware structural checks, code review, and auto-fix suggestions
Connect drives your local AutoCAD directly, drafting the result in your own file
You approve or request changes — Connect re-opens the file and revises it
Supported Software
2D/3D CAD drafting via COM automation — live, in-app control
BIM modeling via Revit API / pyRevit
Concept-massing file handoff
BOQ automation via COM or openpyxl
Headless FreeCAD artifact generation on the backend — no local install needed

Frequently asked questions
What is Planix Connect?
Planix Connect is our desktop agent for guided local CAD control. It's included on the Pro plan — no waitlist, just upgrade and download.
Do I need to join a waitlist?
No. Planix Connect activates immediately for Pro subscribers — there is no separate approval step or waitlist.
What CAD software does Connect support?
AutoCAD is the primary live-control target via COM automation. Revit and Excel are also supported for automation; SketchUp is supported as a file-handoff target; FreeCAD artifacts are generated by the backend Cloud CAD worker with no local install required.
Does Connect need my files or credentials sent to a server?
No. Connect runs as a local desktop agent that talks to your own already-installed and licensed CAD software directly over your machine's own automation interface (e.g. AutoCAD's COM API). Only the generated drafting instructions are exchanged with Planix, not your local files.
